Make City government more efficient and make sure our tax dollars are spent wisely and effectively:
- Implement multi-year budget planning to foster more strategic, long-term fiscal responsibility.
- Institute quarterly budget review at departmental level.
- Launch independent audit of City departments – financial performance and organizational staffing – to provide a complete and accurate assessment of the City’s financial condition and to identify areas where services can be delivered more efficiently and effectively.
- Identify and explore all opportunities for meaningful expense reductions or revenue sources including: Privatization options and other innovative alternatives to deliver City services, and divestment or lease of underutilized City-owned assets.
