Wan officially qualifies for City’s second-highest office after two successful terms as a City Councilperson
Atlanta, August 24, 2017 – Atlanta City Councilmember Alex Wan, who is running for Atlanta City Council President, officially qualified for that position earlier today, accompanied by friends, family and other supporters.
“Filing the paperwork and paying the qualifying fee is a formality,” Wan says. “The real work has been happening for months, thanks to an active, diverse array of people from across this great city. Now we’re doubling down, pushing toward victory on Election Day, Nov. 7.”
Wan again gains support of statewide organization as he seeks Atlanta’s second-highest office after two successful terms as a City Councilperson.
Atlanta, August 7, 2017 – Atlanta City Councilmember Alex Wan, who is seeking the second-highest elected position in Atlanta government – Atlanta City Council President, has been endorsed by Georgia Equality (www.GeorgiaEquality.org), the state’s largest statewide LGBT advocacy group.
“Through his work these past seven years on City Council and through his many years of broad community activism and engagement in the greater Atlanta community, Alex has demonstrated that he is the best candidate to lead City Council as its President,” says Jeff Graham, Executive Director of Georgia Equality.
